Structure first
A roof has to carry tiles, wind and winter rain for years. We size the rafters and beams for the span, brace the frame properly and detail the fixings so water runs off instead of sitting in the joints.

Common questions
Can a carport have a tiled roof? Yes. We build carports with tiles, sandwich panels or an open slatted top, depending on how much shelter you need.
Do you repair old timber roofs? Yes. We check the existing rafters, replace what has rotted and rebuild where needed.
Do I need a permit? It depends on the size and location. Check with your municipality; we can tell you what is typical when we visit.
